Happy Monday, everyone! To start the week, I just wanted to really quickly share something I found at Watsons over the weekend as I was taking advantage of their awesome sale:
Glam Works hand cream! It caught my eye right away because it looks exactly like the L’Occitane hand cream that I usually have in my handbag. So I grabbed it and had a look at the price– 49.00php! What a steal! There were other scents available, but I picked up Green Tea because that’s the exact kind I just got from L’Occitane to replace my usually plain Shea Butter.
Aside from the orientation of the label and the colour of the cap, they are very similar design wise. You can definitely see there’s more of a refined touch to L’Occitane’s design, but the Glam Works cream is pretty cute too! It’s also 1/8 of the price of the L’Occitane hand cream. They don’t smell alike even if they are both “Green Tea” and the L’Occitane Green Tea is actually a hand gel and not a cream. I prefer how L’Occitane smells fresh and has a cooling effect on the hands, but that’s a matter of preference and if I only had 50php to spare, I’d say the Glam Works hand cream works just as well. The consistency is slightly thicker, which again is not bad at all–just a matter of preference. Both tubes contain 30ml of product.
This is my good old reliable. I’ve gone through maybe five of these already, because as I mentioned in a previous post, I wash my hands a ton and that leaves them dehydrated most of the time.
I don’t know if I’ll stop buying my L’Occitane hand cream because of the Glam Works discovery, but I do think the quality is comparable despite the huge price difference. So, why am I willing to spend approximately 450 on a hand cream instead of just 50? I guess it’s because of the familiarity of the brand. Or maybe I just like a little luxury in my life. Either way, the Glam Works hand cream has found its way into my spare makeup kit and I think it’s a great, great find!
Anyone else find hand cream as indispensable as I do? :)
