I was at our condo unit in Makati last Sunday, waiting to see a film at Greenbelt 3 later that afternoon, so I decided to walk over to Landmark to check out their beauty section. I love shopping at the Landmark. Even though it’s always packed with people, their selection of clothing, shoes, random accessories, and beauty products is pretty darn good, not to mention affordable. They also happened to be on a mini sale (just around 10% off on selected items) so it was pretty good timing! Here’s what I got…An ear cleaner. Yup, that scary-looking tool is for cleaning your ears! I know there’s a general rule that you should never place anything hard inside your ears, but my mom used to have this gold tool that resembled one of the ends of the plastic one I got and I cleaned my ears like a dream! Haha. So I picked one up that has a scratcher-like thing on one end and a spring-y thing on the other. The key to using it is a very light hand and always sterilizing it! From the same random brand (Sebem, what a name!) I picked up some compressed wash cloths. I stick one of these into my bag organizer, just in case I am ever forced to spend the night somewhere unexpectedly. My bag organizer has a ton of stuff in it, but that’s another story for another day. That little eyeshadow brush doesn’t even have a brand name on it, but the shape of the brush and the quality looked okay, so I grabbed it. It was only 49.75php! It reminds me of one of my Sonia Kashuk brushes but it’s a lot smaller. I’ve used it a couple of times and it could be a little more dense, but for that price I’m not complaining. It’s coming along with me when I travel for sure! :) I also got rubber refills for my Fanny Serrano eyelash curler which, by the way, performs nearly as well as the Shu Uemura one at 1/8 of the price.
Lashes! Got these at 10% off but they were priced reasonably to begin with (approx. 150.00php). Haven’t used them but the holidays are coming up so I’m sure I’ll get a chance to try them out soon. :)And finally, I got these Skinlite cleansing tissues. I had tried these previously so I knew that they work well and don’t irritate my skin. They go at 89.75php for a pack of 30 wipes, which is cheap in the world of cleansing wipes. I like the cucumber variant but there’s also Aloe Vera available. I have to say though: I don’t use these alone to remove my makeup. They help me get started, but I always cleanse again afterwards with water and a proper face wash. If these wipes were any more pricey, they would not be in my everyday routine… but they are cheap, so there you go! Haha!
Landmark sells a ton of beauty supplies on their bottom floor, from high-ish end to mega cheap unbranded tools. Worth having a look at, especially if you’re a beauty junkie! :)
Happy weekend ahead, all!
