New, Juicy Shades! Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipsticks *

MKL1The Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipsticks (860.00 Php) are perfect for people who like moisturizing lipstick formulas. Infused with Vitamin E, Sunflower Seed oil, Jojoba, and Mango Butter, these feel more like a lipbalm than an actual lipstick — except they are lipsticks and they come in a nicely-sized range of 11 colours. Mary Kay recently added four shades to the range recently, and here I have two of them:

MKL2Coral Bliss, an orange sherbet kind of shade, and and Sassy Fuschia, a bright pink. Both shades would be perfect for the summer months, which only makes me miss summer break and actually having time to do things like chill at the beach… but for now I can just pretend we’re still at that point in the year, I guess. These lipsticks sure do help! MKL3By far the coolest thing about them is the packaging. To open it, you push down on the clear top (sorry, no picture of that) and pull the tube out from the bottom. When placing the tube back into the cover, it locks in with a secure and satisfying click. It’s a beautiful piece of engineering and it’s also weighted nicely so it feels very luxurious. MKL4Swatched and worn. The True Dimensions Lipsticks are sheer and highly moisturizing, so you can expect about 2 hours of wear out of them before having to touch up. These are great for people with dry or thin lips — juicy-looking lippies always help to make lips look more plump. They reminds me very much of the Korres Lip Butters, except that these are in a convenient bullet form as opposed to being packaged in a pot.

These are lovely if you’re looking for an “easy” product. The sheer, shiny finish make wearing these very quick and fuss-free. Plus, they’re so moisturizing you won’t need a lipbalm at all!

  1. I’d go for the fucsia pink, it adds a little ‘rocker touch’. Maybe it’s a personal feeling, but just 2 hours of lasting performance is not that much…don’t you think?
