BDJ Box* October 2014 – Unboxing!

Got this late this afternoon and wanted to do a quick unboxing for you guys! Have a lookie:
P1160381BDJ* went jumbo-sized with their boxes this month! While size definitely isn’t everything, I was still excited to receive a larger-than-usual parcel in the mail. The theme for this month is “Skin Savers” and the boxes are filled with products that will help you achieve fresh, glowing skin in preparation for the holiday season. P1160388You can see that Dial had its own products placed in a separate box (and I could smell the coconut-y goodness from inside of it even before opening it up!) but the “main box” was still filled to the brim. BDJ very rarely disappoints when it comes to value for money. Each subscription box will set you back 580.00 Php, but in this box alone for example, the full-sized products are worth 1,775.00 Php. I didn’t even bother to include the sample tubes and sachets.
P1160390The Dial Coconut Water Body Wash (200.00 Php for 473ml) and the Dial Coconut Water Soap (140.00 Php for 113g) smell heavenly. Seriously I cannot wait for my bath tonight because of these babies. To be honest, the last time I used something from Dial was when I was very young. I associate their bar soaps with kiddy fragrances and washing up in a muddied bathroom after long afternoons of playing rough with my cousins in the garden. I’m not sure why my parents stopped buying soap from them, but I’m really excited to have these two items to test out. They’re not the same scents as we used to have, but I have a feeling they’ll bring me back anyway. P1160392Everything in the “main box” plus the Dial products laid out. The sample sachets and tubes are from Yves Roche and L’Oreal. I’m not particularly excited about the L’Oreal Revitalift samples (simply because I’m not old enough for those just yet), but the Yves Rocher Zero Blemish Gel Cream (795.00 for a full-sized 50ml tub) look interesting. I definitely will enjoy those seven sachets.

As for the full-sized items, there is a Dove Hair Fall Rescue set (470.00 Php for 7 vials of 7mL each), a My Choice Smooth Spa Salt (100.00 Php for 500g), a My Choice Hand and Body Lotion (70.00 Php for 90 mL), and a Revlon ColorStay 16-Hour Eye Shadow Quad in 515 Adventurous (795.00 Php). The eyeshadow quad seems a bit random in a skin-themed box, but I’m certainly not complaining!
StripAnd the last thing included in the box was this cute brochure/kit type thing from Strip. It contains three products that Strip carries to help customers ensure that the waxing procedures go smoothly. There’s a lotion, a body scrub, and an ingrown hair cream. With the brochure, you can get 20% off of the three items (whether individually or collectively only is unclear ). The Strip Ice Cream sells for 1,750.00 Php, the Malin + Goetz Peppermint Body Scrub for 1,650.00 Php, and the Malin + Goetz Ingrown Hair Cream for 1,750.00. For those not familiar with Malin + Goetz, I can tell you that it’s a kick-ass brand. Their store is located in Greenbelt 5 beside Adora, I believe.

And that’s it for the October 2014 BDJ Box(es)! This was awesome in terms of value and I think most of the products look to be promising and very practical.

Thanks a bunch, BDJ Team! :) I’m going to have an awesome pamper session this evening for sure!

* This item was provided to me free of charge.
