Is It Haram To Not Wear Hijab?

In Muslim culture and customs, it is generally known that there is a specific code for women’s clothing that must be followed.

In the holy book, the Quran, it is written that a Muslim woman must not show her body and hair in public, which is considered an intimate part of the body.

It is most practical for women to wear a hijab, to hide their hair from the eyes of other men and women.

And here the specific question is whether it is Haram if a female person does not wear a hijab.

The answer is that it is not Haram!

The most important thing is that the hair is not visible in the hair, even if the woman has decided not to wear the hijab, she must follow that rule.

Zaman for a hijab can be a scarf that will completely cover the hair like a hijab, so that it is not visible at all, because it is forbidden.

Women can also wear dresses, but those dresses must be cultural and not offensive, and they must reveal everything so that only the jackets are visible.

So it’s up to the individual to decide which of these he wants for himself, but rules must be followed, such as the fact that no hair or other body parts can be seen except for the jacket.

But, here we want to tackle more into this matter more, and we will take a look at the position of the Hijab in some western countries, as well as its place in fashion.

Is It Haram To Not Wear Hijab?

There are various models of hijab and some have caused numerous controversies the fact that they emphasize certain attributes that a woman possesses and this is considered very tasteless.

The hijab should be wide and not emphasize the woman’s curves.

Also, if a female person does not wear a hijab, the dress must be of a non-offensive color and sufficiently wide and long.

Also, if the hijab is no longer worn, the scarf that will replace it must be decent and an adequate replacement for the hijab.

This is a rule that must be followed and the parts of the body hidden by the hijab must be covered by both the dress and the headscarf

Nothing but his face and jacket should be visible at any time.

In the holy book, the Quran, it is not defined whether all women must wear the hijab because it is considered that only the wives of the prophets wore the hijab, in order to distinguish themselves from other women.

But the followers of the Muslim faith made this law mandatory and that a woman’s hair and her body must not be shown to anyone except her husband.

And at home, the hijab can be taken off and the hair can be seen by male family members who are related by blood to that female person and who will therefore not feel lust or physical attraction to her, therefore it is considered safe.

This law was introduced to protect Muslim women from men who are not her mahrams.

In the holy book Quran, Allah said that women and men must dress modestly.

That women wear headscarves over their heads and backs and that they must be moral, cultured, and clean.

To behave decently and not to show their body to anyone except their husband.

But is it obligatory to wear the Hijab and is it haram if it is not worn, it is not haram!

So, the most important thing is that the hair is not visible, so it will be covered with a cultured and inconspicuous, clean scarf, and if a comfortable dress is worn, it is very important that it covers all parts of the body except the jacket.

This is a rule that must be respected and there are no exceptions to it at all.

It is clear from this that women are not allowed to show their beauty in public and that the hijab has exactly that purpose, to hide the head of the woman who wears it.

If a woman has decided on her own that she does not want to wear a hijab, it is not Haram, but she must fulfill her obligation as a Muslim woman to hide her hair and body from men’s eyes, and also fulfill her obligation in the eyes of Allah.

Although a woman does not wear a hijab, if she respects her traditional religion through her behavior in the dress, it will not be considered Haram.

There are even several hijab models that are even too attractive and attract attention, which is not good at all and Muslim women should

these models are widely avoided because they conflict with his very concept.

The use of hijab for fashion purposes is prohibited because it contradicts the scriptures from the holy book Quran, which states that one must exclusively dress modestly and piously.

Hijab and Fashion

If the hijab is used for fashion purposes, then it is considered that it has lost its point and that what the woman is doing has no meaning and she will be warned for drawing attention to herself in that way.

Modesty is something that a woman should have in herself

and that is what is most often mentioned in the Holy Book of the Quran through the words of Allah.

This means that if a woman behaves honorably and decently and in accordance with all the rules about how a woman of Muslim faith should behave as a believer herself, she does not have to and is not obligated to wear hijab, but she is obliged to cover her body parts for which is also considered hair, covers it with a scarf so that it cannot be seen and that is completely acceptable.

But it is considered that specifically the hijab is the most practical item of clothing for that purpose and it is generally advised to wear it, but it ends only and exclusively on advice but not on obligation because it depends on the individual whether or not he wants to wear it specifically.

Muslim women are given the freedom to decide what they want to wear when they go out in public, but the rules must be respected at all costs because they are set and prescribed by law.

Tolerance for unworn hijab often exists, but parts of the body and hair cannot be seen.

Therefore, not wearing the hijab is not Haram in Islam, but the hair must be covered with some alternative since it is written in the holy book of the Quran that hair is an intimate part of the body and must be hidden from the public!

There are also other reasons why Muslim women wear the hijab, and one of them is to prevent men from looking at their bodies so as not to tempt them to take advantage of them.

In this way, a Muslim woman will protect herself from potential attackers, so that they will not see her body and hair and will not be provoked by the sight.

Another positive aspect of the hijab view is that a Muslim man who is not a husband and is not related by blood to a free Muslim woman does not know what she looks like at all! Especially if he covers his face in addition to his hair.

In this way, everything boils down to a conversation, and only on the basis of that does the man decide whether this female person suits him or not.

So he doesn’t like her hair, her body, and sometimes not even her face, and he has to decide for himself whether he likes her or not. And here he can only like her character, smile, voice, way of thinking, etc…

This is very interesting because you will be able to see the face and body of your future wife for the first time only when the marriage itself is concluded!

A Muslim woman must respect her husband and at the same time adhere to everything that is written in the holy book, the Quran, and she can refuse something from her husband that he demands of her, only and exclusively if that something is not Halal, i.e. it is Haram.

In today’s world, fashion is something that is blindly followed on numerous channels of our television, we watch how actors and actresses dress and follow the latest trends of today.

Unfortunately, fashion has begun to cross the boundaries of good taste, especially among the female population.

Females show almost all their intimate parts of the body on the catwalks and it has become quite natural and normal for men to see a woman on the street in a very short skirt and a fashionable brush halter walking down the street.

The male population has become so fed up with female attributes that they have become prone to various perversions in order to feel the excitement and this is something imposed on us by the fashion industry, which pours billions into new models, few of which are decent to wear.

What do you think first when you see the woman in the above description walking down the street and next to her is a woman covered with a hijab?

Which would you take as your life partner, the one that everyone can see and give a longing look or the woman that you know what she looks like but other men on the street don’t?

This is exactly what Muslims want to warn, to protect their women from the lustful glances of other men who are not related to them and to protect them from difficulties and troubles that can dishonor them as a female individuals.

More about Hijab

In France, wearing the hijab was banned in 2011, and in Switzerland in 2021, to the displeasure of the wider Muslim community.

In those countries, women can wear headscarves instead of hijabs and decent dresses, but they must not cover their faces in any way.

The obligation of every Muslim woman is that from the moment she gets her first period, she is obliged to wear a hijab by law.

But the hijab can replace, as we have already mentioned, a headscarf and a dress that hides the hair and body of a Muslim woman.

Young girls who need to wear a hijab for the first time, perhaps because of the tradition itself, should wear it at least in the beginning and not immediately replace it with a scarf and a dress.

Traditions and customs in Muslim culture are something that is extremely respected, even if in the beginning young girls should wear a hijab out of respect for their ancestors, family, and customs that live in their country and tradition.

Therefore, the hijab should be a modest piece of clothing without jewelry on it and it must not emphasize the attributes of the woman who wears it, which means that it must not be tight and it must be close to the body.

Hijabs that can be seen on the catwalks are not recommended and you should stick to traditional costumes that are simple and without any fashion details on them that could attract the attention of those around you.

What is under the hijab is exclusively and only for the eyes of the Muslim wife who wears it.

Based on everything we have written, we can conclude that the Holy Book of the Quran does not state that the hijab must be worn exclusively.

So it’s not Haram if you don’t wear hijab!

But according to the holy book, the Quran, the hair and body of a girl or woman must be covered with a certain item of clothing, i.e. hair with a scarf and body with a dress in case a woman or girl decides not to wear a hijab and that is not a sin as we have established here.
